GCash gambling is a topic where a few dated documents matter more than any opinion. This page reports what the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) memorandum and draft circular on file say, and what GCash’s own help pages say, each named and dated. It gives no legal opinion and says nothing about any site’s licence status. For the wider cashier picture, start at the LARO77 payment channel hub.

What BSP Memorandum M-2025-029 directs

The memorandum is addressed to “All BSP-Supervised Institutions (BSIs)”. It says that, in view of the surge in online gambling transactions and public concern about financial health, the Monetary Board in Resolution No. 805 dated 14 August 2025 approved the suspension of in-app gambling access from BSIs’ mobile payment apps and websites, pending a policy that sets standards for online gambling payment services.

It then instructs three things in plain terms:

  1. All BSIs must “remove links providing in-app gambling access in BSIs’ mobile payment apps and websites within 48 hours” of the memorandum.
  2. In-app gambling access “includes any product/service that redirects an account holder to a gaming/gambling site”.
  3. The suspension runs pending the issuance and implementation of the corresponding policy.

What GCash’s own pages say about gaming

GCash’s help page “Suspension of Gaming access in GLife” (saved 11 October 2026) opens: “In compliance with BSP Memorandum M-2025-029, all licensed gaming top-up and withdrawal services were removed from GCash effective August 16, 2025 and the Games service is no longer available in the app.” Its answers to common questions run in this order:

  1. Access to a gaming account: “GCash is not a gaming app. You may coordinate directly with gaming merchants for access options.”
  2. A balance held with a gaming merchant: you may coordinate directly with the licensed gaming merchant to withdraw funds through its own website and channels.
  3. Minimum withdrawal amounts: “please contact the gaming merchant directly, as they set the minimum withdrawal amount.”
  4. Contacting a merchant: GCash’s page lists merchants with their own websites or email addresses, so read that list on GCash’s page rather than on a third-party site.

A search of GCash’s Help Center for “gaming” (11 October 2026) also shows a line in two articles: “Gaming vouchers in GLoad are currently unavailable.”

The Bangko Sentral draft on online gambling payment services

The BSP document on file is headed “EXPOSURE DRAFT (not final)”. Its circular number and Monetary Board resolution number are blank lines, so treat every line below as a proposal. It would add a section 1106, “Regulations on Online Gambling Payment Services”, to BSP’s payment-system manual.

Draft sectionWhat the draft proposes
1106.3Payment providers need prior authority from the Bangko Sentral and may not provide links or functions that redirect a user to a gambling platform
1106.5A separate Online Gambling Transaction Account, one per eligible account owner, with facial biometric verification
1106.6A daily transfer limit not above 20% of the average daily balance, a transaction window of at most 6 hours a day, and a 24-hour cooling off after heavy usage
1106.7An account-owner-set daily transfer limit and a daily playing-time limit of no more than 6 hours
Definition of eligible account ownerAt least 21 years old, among other conditions

What changed for e-wallet users, in order

  1. August 2025: BSP Memorandum M-2025-029 tells supervised institutions to take in-app gambling links out of their payment apps within 48 hours.
  2. 16 August 2025: GCash says its gaming top-up and withdrawal services were removed and its Games service is no longer in the app.
  3. Since then, per GCash’s page, gaming balances and access are matters for the gaming merchant, not for GCash.
  4. The draft circular above is still only a draft in the saved document.

If you use a wallet for a casino deposit, you may also want what to do after a GCash wrong send and, for Maya, the Maya password reset steps.

Where the deposit channel shows up

Whether a deposit channel is offered is shown on the deposit screen at the time you deposit. The LARO77 lobby’s own notices name GCash and Maya (as PayMaya), but only the channel list on the deposit screen, after you log in, tells you what you can use that day. Read its minimums, fees and times there; this page prints none for LARO77.

Keep the wallet’s own rules in view too: the limits and fees come from GCash and Maya, not from a lobby. The GCash casino funding page lists what this site has on that wallet. Play is for adults of 21 and over.

FAQ

Did GCash remove gaming from its app?

GCash's own help page, Suspension of Gaming access in GLife, says all licensed gaming top-up and withdrawal services were removed from GCash effective August 16, 2025 and that the Games service is no longer available in the app.

Is the Bangko Sentral's online gambling payment circular in force?

The saved document is headed EXPOSURE DRAFT (not final), with its circular number and Monetary Board resolution number left blank. It is a draft, not a rule in force.

Where do I see which payment channels a gaming site offers?
