Proof of address is the document that ties your name to a place, and a wallet or casino screen may ask for one. The honest first fact is that the saved GCash, Maya and Bangko Sentral texts list valid IDs, and none prints a separate list of address documents. This page shows what each body names, what must be visible on it, and how to send one without exposing yourself.
It is part of the trusted online casino checks. This site is 21+.
Proof of address: the documents the saved lists name
GCash’s page lists valid IDs; it does not print a separate proof-of-address list. Maya’s pages list IDs and a “Verified Address” requirement.
The Bangko Sentral’s Circular No. 608 lists accepted photo-bearing identification, and the table merges the three lists into 12 distinct documents.
| # | Document | Who lists it | What the list says must show |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | National ID (card, paper type, digital) | GCash (adult Filipinos with a PH SIM); Maya as Philippine National Identity Card | GCash: valid, not expired, not damaged, clear; a scan is allowed for this one. Maya: full name and date of birth match the National ID |
| 2 | ePhilID | Maya (primary) | Maya prints no visibility rule |
| 3 | Passport | GCash; Maya; BSP Circular No. 608 | GCash: the physical document, valid and clear |
| 4 | HDMF (Pag-Ibig Loyalty Plus) | GCash | Valid, not expired, not damaged, clear |
| 5 | Driver’s License / BLTO Driver’s License | GCash; Maya; BSP Circular No. 608 | GCash: physical ID, no photocopy |
| 6 | Philippine Postal ID | GCash; Maya (“issued 2015 onwards”); BSP Circular No. 608 | GCash: physical ID, no photocopy |
| 7 | PRC ID | GCash; Maya; BSP Circular No. 608 | GCash: physical ID, no photocopy |
| 8 | UMID | GCash; Maya | GCash: physical ID, no photocopy |
| 9 | SSS ID | GCash; Maya (“digitized with photo”); BSP Circular No. 608 (SSS Card) | GCash: physical ID, no photocopy |
| 10 | PhilHealth ID | Maya (secondary, two required) | Maya prints no visibility rule |
| 11 | TIN ID | Maya (secondary, two required) | Maya prints no visibility rule |
| 12 | Barangay Certification | BSP Circular No. 608 | Circular: the original, with a “CLEAR copy” submitted |
GCash prints 8 of these for adults with a PH SIM. Maya prints 8 primary IDs and 2 secondary ones, and says adults submit “either 1 valid primary ID or 2 valid secondary IDs”. Circular No. 608 requires the original plus “a CLEAR copy of at least ONE (1) valid photo-bearing identification document”.
Where an address actually appears in the rules
The word address shows up in three saved places, and each one is a data field rather than a document list.
| Source | Address wording |
|---|---|
| Maya account limits | Upgraded tier requirements: “Video selfie, Valid ID, Verified Address and Verified Personal Information” |
| Maya upgrade page | A step to “Enter your work details, place of birth, and address (if applicable)” |
| Implementing rules of Republic Act No. 10927 | Section 19 lists “Present address” and “Permanent address” among the minimum customer information for casinos |
A utility bill is a common example of an address document, yet no saved text above lists one. Follow what the verification or withdrawal screen asks, and look for the document types it names.
Why a regulated business asks for it
A regulated business keeps a record of who you are. The checks have a name and a legal source.
- Customer identification. Know your customer checks are the routine of matching your name and details to documents.
- Anti-money-laundering duty. Section 19 of the implementing rules lists present and permanent address as customer information, and the anti-money-laundering rules for casinos explain the wider duty.
- Account tiers. Maya ties its upgraded tier to a Verified Address, and GCash ties higher limits to being fully verified.
- Account opening. The same implementing rules say customers who open an account in a casino “shall be required to submit a copy of an identification document”.
For the electronic gaming categories PAGCOR names, see the eGames categories PAGCOR lists page.
How to send a document safely
Send an address or ID document only in the way the wallet or lobby itself asks, and no other.
- Log in by typing the address yourself, then open the screen that asks for the document.
- Upload inside that screen. Never send a document to a chat, a message thread or an e-mail address a stranger gave you.
- Cover nothing the form requires; the wallet pages above ask for a clear, undamaged, unexpired original.
- Keep the name on the document identical to the account name.
- Keep a screenshot of the upload confirmation, without any code on it.
Wallets state the same rule from their side. GCash’s page says it “will NEVER send you links via SMS/email or ask for your MPIN/OTP”, and Maya says it “will never ask for your Maya password, 16-digit card number, and One-Time Password (OTP)”. A copy of the real page is the usual trap; the phishing site checks show how to spot one first.
Problems that hold up a document
The wallet rejects your ID photo.
GCash asks for an ID that is valid, not expired, not damaged and clear, and the actual physical ID rather than a photocopy. Retake the photo flat, in daylight, with all four corners and the text sharp.
You have none of the listed IDs.
GCash’s page suggests getting a National ID if you have none of the accepted IDs, and says a digital copy can be downloaded in the eGov PH app after you apply. Maya makes the same suggestion and points to the PhilSys registration process.
A chat contact asks for a bill or ID before paying you.
No saved wallet text asks for documents in a chat. Send nothing, keep the messages, and follow the steps for reporting it to NBI cybercrime investigators.
FAQ
Does GCash publish a list of proof-of-address documents?
GCash's page lists valid IDs; it does not print a separate proof-of-address list. It asks for the actual physical ID, valid, not expired, not damaged and clear, with a National ID the one document that may be scanned.
What does Maya ask for about my address?
Maya's account-limits page lists the upgraded tier's requirements as Video selfie, Valid ID, Verified Address and Verified Personal Information. Its upgrade page asks you to enter work details, place of birth and address, if applicable.
Why would a casino ask for my address?
The implementing rules of Republic Act No. 10927 list present address and permanent address among the minimum customer information a casino collects during customer due diligence.
Pwede bang i-send ang ID ko sa chat?
Hindi. Mag-upload lang sa loob ng sarili mong logged-in account, sa screen na humihingi ng document. Ang chat message na humihingi ng ID ay red flag.
