LARO77 GCash Security: MPIN, OTP and Account Lock Steps
GCash security comes down to four things GCash's own pages describe: an MPIN you change, an OTP you never share, Account Secure on one phone, and Lock My Account when something looks wrong.
Key facts and contents
- LARO77 GCash 500k Limit
- GCash's own page says an adult with a Basic account can increase the limit to PHP 500,000 by getting fully verified, and that a Fully Verified wallet limit is PHP 500,000.
- LARO77 GCash Express Send
- GCash Express Send moves money from one Fully Verified GCash user to another GCash account, with a monthly limit of 500 send and 500 receive transactions.
- LARO77 GCash QR
- Generate a fresh code for this payment on the deposit screen, open QR in the GCash app, scan it, check the name and amount GCash shows, tap Pay, then save the reference number.
- LARO77 GCash Slot
- A GCash slot is a studio's game opened in a lobby while GCash is the wallet that funds the account; GCash itself offers no slot.
- LARO77 GCash Gambling
- BSP Memorandum M-2025-029 told supervised institutions to remove in-app gambling links, and GCash's help page says its gaming top-up and withdrawal services were removed on 16 August 2025.
- LARO77 GCash Wrong Send
- After a GCash wrong send, GCash says it can only reverse a transaction if the account is inactive or not in use.
- LARO77 Maya Password Reset and Maya OTP Fixes
- Maya's help pages say to reset a password with the link in the error message or by tapping Forgot your password? on the login screen.
GCash security is the short list of settings that stand between your wallet and a stranger. Check them before you fund play from the wallet, because a deposit screen on any gaming site only works as well as the account behind it. The LARO77 payment channel pages cover how the cashier side fits together; this page covers the wallet side, using only what GCash prints on its own help pages.
GCash security settings in one table
GCash lists its safety features on a page called “How can I protect my GCash account?” (saved on 11 October 2026). Menu names below are quoted from GCash’s pages, not from the LARO77 lobby.
| Feature | Where GCash says to find it | What GCash says it does |
|---|---|---|
| Change MPIN | Profile > Settings > Change MPIN | Replaces the code that opens your account |
| Account Secure | Profile > Settings > Account Secure | Registers your account on only one phone |
| Lock My Account | Profile > Security Center > Lock My Account | Stops anyone logging in while the lock is on |
| In-app OTP | Your phone’s Settings > Notifications | Delivers GCash OTPs as push notifications, not SMS |
| Get Help | Transactions, then the transaction, then Get Help | Opens a ticket for a scam or unauthorized payment |
Your GCash PIN is the MPIN
People search for a GCash PIN, but GCash calls it the MPIN. Its page says “Your MPIN is your password to open your GCash account” and that it is different from your GCash Card PIN. To change it, GCash lists these steps:
- Open the GCash app and log in.
- Tap Profile > Settings.
- Tap Change MPIN.
- Enter your current MPIN.
- Set and confirm your new MPIN, then tap Submit.
GCash tips you to change the MPIN every 3 months and to avoid guessable ones such as 1234 or 1111. If you forgot it, tap “Forgot MPIN?” on the login screen. GCash’s login help page adds that if no OTP arrives you should wait 15 minutes and try again.
What you never share with anyone
GCash’s page says it will never send you links by SMS or email or ask for your MPIN or OTP, and that it will never ask for them over the phone. Keep the same rule for a casino lobby, a chat agent, a friend or a “support” account on social media. Nobody who is helping you needs these.
| Never share | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Your MPIN | It is the password to the wallet |
| An OTP, typed or as a screenshot | It approves one transaction for whoever holds it |
| A link from an SMS or email that claims to be GCash | GCash says fake sites are used to steal your details |
| Your account itself | GCash warns that people buy or rent accounts and then use your name |
A deposit made to a lobby goes through the channel on the deposit screen, which asks for what that screen asks for. If a chat agent asks for a code that arrived on your phone, stop and read GCash gambling rules and notices before doing anything else.
An OTP you did not request
An OTP you never asked for means someone may be trying a login or a payment with your number. GCash says its OTPs for Send Money now arrive by in-app push notification instead of SMS.
A GCash OTP arrived and I did not start anything
Do not type or forward the code. Open the GCash app yourself (not through a link), and change your MPIN under Profile > Settings > Change MPIN. Then check Profile > Settings > Account Secure, which GCash describes as registering your account on only one phone.
No OTP arrives when I do ask for one
GCash’s Didn’t receive OTP page lists these fixes: check your signal, turn Airplane Mode on for 5 seconds and off again, force close and reopen the app, restart the phone, update the app, and make sure your SMS inbox is not full. For Express Send it says to turn on GCash push notifications.
A payment you did not make
GCash’s page “Report unauthorized transactions in my GCash account” gives the order to follow.
My transaction history shows a payment I did not make
GCash lists these steps: check other platforms where GCash is a linked payment method, change your MPIN, update the app, then log in, tap Get Help, tap “I noticed unauthorized transactions in my GCash account” and tap Chat with Gigi. Report within 15 days of the transaction date. GCash says the investigation may take 48 hours to 7 days, and you can follow it under Help > My Support Tickets.
I paid a scammer, not a merchant
GCash’s Report a scam page says to report the scammer to the PNP or NBI, then in the app go to Transactions, pick the transaction, tap Get Help > Report as scam, fill out the ticket form and tap Submit. GCash says its team reaches out within 24 hours and that “the return of scammed funds is not guaranteed”.
A locked or held account
Two different things look alike here: a lock you choose and a hold GCash places.
I want to lock my wallet right now
GCash says that for Fully Verified users you tap Profile > Security Center > Lock My Account, confirm with “Yes, Lock My Account” and complete verification with Gigi. Nobody can log in while it is locked. Basic account users add a photo of a government ID and a selfie with the ID, and GCash says it emails an update within 24 to 48 hours.
GCash says my account is on hold or locked
For a lock you set yourself, GCash’s page on reversing it says to tap Help Center on the login page, search for that article and chat with Gigi, then go through verification. For the prompt “Your account is on hold”, GCash tells fully verified users to check their inbox and spam folder for an email from GCash, and to use its contact link if none came.
Still not working?
Work down this list in order:
- Open the Help Center from the GCash app’s login page and search 2 to 5 words about your problem, as GCash’s ticket page suggests.
- Use Get Help on the specific transaction so the ticket carries its details.
- Check ticket progress under Profile > Help > My Support Tickets.
- If money went to the wrong person, read how a GCash wrong send is handled.
- For the casino side of a GCash deposit, see GCash casino deposit steps.
Play is for adults of 21 and over. If a wallet problem is tied to losses you cannot afford, take a break and read responsible play.
FAQ
Is the GCash PIN the same as the MPIN?
GCash calls the code that opens your wallet the MPIN. Its help page says the MPIN is different from your GCash Card PIN, so a lobby or a caller asking for either one is asking for a secret.
Who may ask me for my GCash OTP?
Nobody. GCash's protect-your-account page says GCash will never send you links by SMS or email or ask for your MPIN or OTP, and that includes a casino's customer service.
How often does GCash say to change the MPIN?
GCash's Change my MPIN page tips you to change it every 3 months and to avoid easy-to-guess MPINs like 1234 or 1111.
What do I do if GCash shows a payment I did not make?
Change your MPIN, then report the transaction within 15 days through Get Help in the GCash app, as GCash's page on unauthorized transactions describes.
