A Maya password problem usually shows up at the worst moment: you are about to fund play and the login screen refuses you. This page follows Maya’s own saved help pages for each cause, from a forgotten password to a one-time code that never lands. It is part of the LARO77 payment channel overview, which covers the wallets that the lobby’s own notices name, GCash and Maya (as PayMaya).
Maya password errors and what Maya says they mean
Maya’s page “I encountered a login error” (saved 6 October 2026) lists the messages you may see. These four are the ones that point at your password.
| Message on screen | Maya’s explanation | Maya’s fix |
|---|---|---|
| “You have reached the maximum number of incorrect password attempts. Please reset your password.” | You entered an incorrect password too many times | Tap Reset password or Forgot your password? on the login screen |
| “You’ve made too many login attempts. Please wait a few minutes before trying again.” | Too many unsuccessful attempts | Reset the password, follow the instructions, then log in with the new one |
| “The mobile number or password you entered did not match our records.” | The number or password is wrong | Check both, then try again or reset |
| “As a security measure, we are unable to proceed with this transaction.” | Maya detected unusual activity and temporarily blocked the attempt | Close and reopen the app, then try again after a few minutes |
Forgotten password
I do not remember my Maya password
Maya says to tap Forgot your password? on the login screen and follow the instructions to create a new one, then log in with it. Its page also tells you to check that the mobile number and password fields contain none of these characters: ^, =, curly brackets, angle brackets or semicolons. Type the mobile number registered to your Maya account.
Too many attempts
Maya says I reached the maximum number of password attempts
Maya’s page says to “Simply reset your password using the link in the error message.” If that does not solve it, log in to Maya, tap the Help Center icon at the upper right, scroll to the bottom and tap Chat with us. In that chat Maya says you can ask to be connected to a representative or get help submitting a ticket.
Maya OTP not arriving: Maya’s listed fixes
Maya’s page “I didn’t receive an OTP” (saved 11 October 2026) lists these steps in this order:
- Wait at least 30 seconds, then request a new OTP.
- Check your telco’s service advisories and make sure the device has a strong signal, since OTPs go through the telco’s network.
- Make sure your SMS inbox is not full.
- On iOS, open Messages, tap Filters, select Unknown Senders, open the message from Maya and tap Mark as Known.
- Update the Maya app, then close it completely and reopen it.
- Restart the device and install any available system update.
- On Android, clear the Maya app’s cache and request the OTP again.
No OTP reaches my phone, so I cannot log in
If you cannot log in because you are not receiving an OTP, Maya’s page says to call its support hotline, open daily from 8 AM to 7 PM, on +632-8845-7788 or the domestic toll-free line 1800-1084-57788. If you can log in, tap the Help Center icon in the upper-right corner, scroll to the bottom, tap Chat with us and send your query to Maya Support Chat.
A login from a new phone
Maya’s login-error page covers trouble on a different phone with the steps below.
My Maya login fails on a different phone
Maya lists these steps: update Maya to the latest version, set the device’s date, time and time zone to update automatically, restart the device, try logging in on another device you own, and reinstall the app or, on Android, clear its cache. If none of them work, Maya’s page says to contact its hotline at (+632) 8845-7788.
If your account was blocked after payments you did not make, Maya’s page says it can be reactivated once you complete customer verification and resolve security risks, such as updating the password or the registered email address. Maya says to call its hotline, and that reactivation may take up to 2 business days.
Never share a password or OTP
Maya’s contact page says: “Never share your password, OTP, card number, or card CVV with anyone, even our representatives.” A lobby’s customer service is not Maya, so it has no claim on your Maya codes either. Maya’s page on hacked accounts adds that you should never open links sent by SMS or email, even if the sender looks like Maya.
Still not working?
Open the Help Center in Maya via Profile > Get help, tap Chat with us, choose a topic, tap No when asked whether the article helped, then tap Raise a ticket or Chat with an agent. Maya says a ticket gets an email reply within 2 working days. Keep screenshots, receipts and any reference ID ready, as Maya’s page recommends.
Once you are back in, check the limits that apply to your wallet type before you fund play; the GCash 500k limit rules show how a wallet limit page reads, and GCash slot picks for wallet users lists the slots people fund this way. For the Maya side of a deposit, see the Maya casino deposit page. Play is for adults of 21 and over.
