What GCash says about gambling transactions
GCash’s own terms and conditions do not blanket-ban gambling merchants, with the nearest general clause being the bar on pyramid and Ponzi schemes. Whatever restrictions exist are driven by the regulator. GCash, like every BSP-supervised institution, had to remove in-app links and redirects to gambling and gaming sites within 48 hours under BSP Memorandum M-2025-029 of 14 August 2025, so the GLife Games top-up and withdrawal feature was withdrawn with effect from 16 August 2025.
Separately, GCash states it has zero tolerance for illegal gambling operators and reports that it blocked roughly 3,200 merchants who abused its QR system to redirect users to illegal gambling and scam sites. Together, these measures restrain illegal-gambling-linked merchants as well as in-app gaming top-ups. Neither permission nor prohibition is stated: none of it says GCash may or may not be used to fund a licensed casino’s cashier.

- GCash Plus — Reserved for Fully Verified accounts with a linked bank or investment account. Up to PHP 500,000 held in the wallet, up to PHP 500,000 in per month, and up to PHP 100,000 out per day
- GCash Platinum — Eligible Globe Platinum subscribers only. The wallet tops out at PHP 1,000,000, with monthly inflow of PHP 1,000,000 and outflow of PHP 500,000 per day and PHP 1,000,000 per month
